NetZeroCities - Accelerating cities' transition to net zero emissions by 2030

As cities keep growing and increasingly represent centres of economic activity, knowledge about their role in the climate transition is crucial. The NetZeroCities project supports European cities in significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve climate neutrality.

The initiative is alligned with the European Green Deal aim to realise a low-carbon and climate-resilient future through research and innovation. Bringing together 33 partners from 13 countries, the project helps cities overcome structural, institutional and cultural barriers in order to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Specifically, NetZeroCities (NZC) develops a service-oriented platform, co-create technological and other solutions, and provides new and improved tools, resources and expertise.

  • Support to the coordinator for the project set up
  • Support to the coordinator as project management office (PMO), Carbon footprint reduction strategy
  • Leadership of the communication and dissemination activities
  • One-Stop-Shop Platform Design, Build & Business Model Design & Community of Practice
  • Contribution to service design (social innovation, systemic innovation, citizen engagement, finance and co-benefits)
  • Contributor to capacity building &stakeholder engagement
