The SEAKNOT project assesses the current knowledge in nuclear fission severe accident research, management and exploitation via two-fold approach:

  • shaping a roadmap for severe accident research in the coming decade to achieve a substantial reduction of remaining uncertainties and a measurable progress in the practical elimination of radiological consequences;
  • consolidating and disseminating efficiently the knowledge and know-how transfer to the young generation of nuclear scientists and engineers.
